General Hospital - 1994-1995 Pt 45 Monica's Cancer

November 1994. Monica is brought back from the operating room and told by Alan that the tumour is malignant. She's devastated and it's only then that she realizes that she was very much putting all her hope on the chance that it would be benign. Monica asks why her body is betraying her like this. As she falls asleep in Alan's arms, Alan says he'd give up his life if it would make hers easier but all he can do is be there for her. One week later, they head to the hospital for the results of tests and discover that the tumour is from the original cancer which is the best possible news. When the boys, Alan, Lila and Edward offer to help her during her next round of chemotherapy, she blows up at them. This is HER cancer and SHE'LL deal with it HER way. She storms off. The boys start to go after her but Alan calls them off. He thinks her anger is the best thing for her. Note: I posted the second part of this clip a few months ago, out of context.
