Exercise and cancer

Many people know that there is a strong link between physical fitness and the risks associated with heart disease. Not as many people are aware of this link between physical activity and cancer risk. Studies have shown that regular exercise is particularly beneficial for women to avoid breastfeeding, for men to prevent lung cancer and all, the prevention of colon cancer. No one knows exactly how to reduce risk is through exercise, but can hormone levels and weight play an important role.

One key is to participate in vigorous activities. In all studies, the intensity of exercises performed seemed to play a role. Another important factor is the length of working time. Women who walked for a total of 30 minutes a week I have not seen the same effects as those to prevent cancer who walked briskly for 5-6 hours a week. Another study suggests that to reduce> The risks of cancer, people should participate in an hour of intense physical activity daily, instead of 2 1 / 2 hours currently promoted by the Surgeon General and Centers for Disease Control.

Although the relationship between vigorous physical activity and cancer is unclear at this point, one thing is clear: Exercise is good for you. There is no doubt that regular aerobic exercise is good for the heart, helps control weight, improves sleepquality, and can help reduce the suffering of people with chronic diseases such as osteoporosis, arthritis or diabetes. Also "clear that some kind of activity is much, much better than nothing, so even if I do not think you can put an hour of exercise into your daily routine, you should try to get some kind of physical activity into your weekly routine.
