Awareness of breast cancer and the economy

Breast Cancer Awareness Month October is just around the corner. It is a time to bring a sense of awareness of this terrible disease that affects millions of families each year.

The facts are impressive.

This type of cancer that the disease affects women in the United States more than any other form of cancer, and is the second most lethal form of cancer, theOne of them is lung cancer.
In the U.S. alone, more than two million women were diagnosed with this terrible form of cancer.
Family history is an important factor indicating the possibility of acquiring this disease, since approximately 85 percent of women diagnosed have no family history of this potentially fatal disease.
Although rare, this can affect men and women. Hundreds of men diethis insidious form of cancer every year.
The cause is unknown, but the fact that all women are at risk, and risk increases with age. The early diagnosis of breast cancer is the key to survival.

Despite this well known fact, the diagnostic testing centers are experiencing a decrease in the number of patients they see on mammograms. Clearly, this is a sign of the times and affect the result of declining economic conditions manyfamilies.

Along with job loss, which affects more people every day, comes the loss of health insurance. Every woman knows that early detection of breast cancer is the only important thing that can be a lifesaver for people diagnosed with this disease families, but clearly a lot to do with the priorities considered much higher than preventive health care.

For some, it might be to put the decision between food on the table or pay an expensivetest just to make sure that no problem. This is a sad fact of life in our time, and there are no easy choices.
