Chemo and Hormone Therapy, Some of the Side Effects Explained

From www.beetmedicine.tv Following breast cancer surgery, chemotherapy and hormone therapy are used to prevent a recurrence of cancer . All treatments have side effects. Chemotherapy targets rapidly dividing cells like hair, bone marrow and the gastrointestinal tract which explains the frequency of hair loss, low white blood counts and anemia , nausea, mouth ulcerations and diarrhea. Along with hormonal agents there are menopausal symptoms which can often be severe along with loss of libido and vaginal dryness.
